Boy! Did your spouse use that old excuse on you, when it all hit the fan?

The honest truth is that having that excuse thrown at you when he confront a cheating spouse with the proof of their affair is an old chestnut, but that doesn’t mean that cheaters aren’t getting away with it hand over fist.

What anyone, who has a cheater in their lives, who throws that line at them has to remember that there is, 9 out of 10 cases, no way that they’re responsible for their cheating spouse’s actions.

Truth is your spouse wanted to cheat and when the opportunity arose, whether they went looking or it just fell into their lap – so to speak – they took it without not a care for the relationship they have with you.

The cheater will always need to find an excuse to justify their behavior and blaming the person they cheated on is classic reverse psychology. If they blame you long enough and hard enough, then they absolve themselves of all blame and place the blame at your feet.

Well the cheating spouse is an adult and has to take responsibility for their own actions, no matter what was going on in their relationship. Clearly the relationship was having problems, so they then have to sit down with their spouse and find a way to make things right and healthy.

If you were constantly accusing your spouse, with no real evidence, then ask yourself why that was? What is going on with you that you are worried about or afraid of? Get to the route of that and you personally will feel a lot better.

Being accused of having an affair is not grounds for the accused to go off and have an affair! It is grounds to sit and talk and to explore feelings and emotions.

I tell what having an affair might be grounds for though, grounds for a divorce or separation!
